Stone Circle Arts is a decorative arts studio creating a range of sculpture, art tiles, décor accessories, wall art and frames. All the art works are made in American from the mind and hand of designer and artisan M. Edan Kent. Each work is meant to inspire and instill some myth and magic of the human spirit into our daily lives. American designer, sculptor and artisan M. Edan Kent has been creating and making artistic decorative art works and sculptures for over 20 years. He holds degrees in art, design and business. Kent maintains a full time design and art studio along with working with various interest as a consultant, is principal of Stone Circle Arts and occasionally teaches design and sculpture at a local state college. Kent and his wife, Dr. Katherine Kent, a fellow designer and Dean, currently reside in South Bend Indiana along the St.Joseph River Kent has had his designs and artwork carried and sold in thousands of galleries and retail shops across America, along with major department stores including Marshall Fields, Target, Kohl’s and Hobby Lobby. He has been a featured artist in numerous mail order catalogs, websites and won several product design awards. Historical decorative arts, architectural periods and fantasy art inspire Edan Kent’s sculptures and designs. His early influences come from the American Masters such as Frank Lloyd Wright, along with Celtic influences. Kent continues to explore in that tradition which is uniquely American, Celtic and mythological. Kent strives to blend both current design needs and aesthetics together with works that are inherent and true to the human spirit, across cultures, time and design trends.

Details

The Blue Heron, Alto-relief art tile by sculptor M. Edan Kent. Made in Indiana of Italian alabaster stone composite and layered in bronze and iron with an acid hand applied polychrome patina finish. Comes framed in a solid quarter-sawn oak Edan Kent frame and ready to hang. Overall size is approx. 7" x 11" with frame included. The Heron stands erect in a blue/gray oxidized iron finish in front of a Prairie School designed panel with a Tiffany patina. This Arts & Crafts style tile is handmade and will have it's own unique finish. For indoors only.
