Anne Jankowski graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, studying under Harold Zisla, Tony Droege and Tuck Langland. She attended graduate school in Art History at Indiana University in Bloomington.
For several years in the 80s, she taught painting and drawing at the South Bend Art Center (now the South Bend Museum of Art).
While she exhibited her work in the late 80s, (most notably a one person show at the Art Center called “Echoes of Poland” and a two person show in North Carolina), she was unable to continue her art on a full time basis.
Four years ago, she happily returned to her work. She paints predominantly in oils, and enjoys simplified landscapes which exploit the beauty and texture of the oil on canvas.
