Kathy Reddy White started her Christmas Card series in 1998.
She makes parodies of famous works of art by incorporating Christmas themes into the original work.
The first card, Art Van Gogh, is a medley of several Vincent Van Gogh paintings rolled into one. The elements used came from Van Gogh's paintings; Self-Portrait, Starry Night, Cypresses, The Bedroom, Vincent's Chair with His pipe, and The Postman Joseph Roulin.
Night Deer shows Santa and his deer taking a break in Edward Hopper's famous diner. The Painter of Light by Thomas Kinkade is another example of how Kathy has humorously transformed one of
his bucolic landscape into Blight at Twilight (Sofa Size).
There are currently ten Christmas Cards, all available for $2.00 each
or in packs of ten for $20. You can choose either ten of the same or mix and match.
